Welcome to the Berlin Chamber of Commerce
Berlin CT Chamber of Commerce

November 28, 2011

To the Members of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce:

The Berlin Chamber of Commerce has worked very hard over the past decades to bring “Commerce to the Community.” We are proud of the tireless efforts of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to enhance the quality of life in Berlin by engaging the large and small businesses in town to grow and prosper, and thereby help our town and the many employees who are residents in our community. We are also appreciative of the efforts and participation of our Members in furthering the goals of the Chamber.

However, after many years of watching the national economy and struggling through the pains of the local economy, not even the Berlin Chamber of Commerce is immune to the downturn of business. As local businesses cut costs, change their business models and thus change the way they do business, this has affected and impacted our local Chamber.

Thus, we now find ourselves having to also change our business model. Therefore, effective December 5, 2011, we will be temporarily suspending operations from our office at 40 Chamberlain Highway in Kensington. The phone line, internet and e-mail will remain open for a period of time. The board is exploring appropriate avenues for the Chamber as we seek the support of other local chambers to service you, our members, in order to continue the good works started so many years ago. The Board will notify you of any further developments as we continue to work to ensure that the Berlin business community will continue to have a unified voice for the enhancement of commerce within the town and region.

Any questions should be directed to the Chamber President, Atty. Richard Pentore at 860-829-9741 or the Financial Secretary, Thomas Satalino, CPA at 860-828-8512.

Sincerely,

Richard H. Pentore
President, Board of Directors
